Family Visits

Andrew, Erin, and Marie headed back home yesterday. It was so good to have them here!! This weekend my parents will be coming in from Utah for about a week. It will be so fun to see them again. When I told Jakob that Andrew, Erin, and Marie were coming to visit this last week he looked at me and said, "And Grammy?" He sure does miss his Grammy Huish! It will be fun to see Grammy and Grampy again.

Wahclella Falls

Today we hiked to Wahclella Falls. Hoped the weather would be nice for the trip, and it was!! We saw gorgeous waterfalls, rapids, and mountain scenery. So much green!! It was an easy hike and was so fun to go on with Erin, Andrew, Marie, and Aaron. When we finished we had lunch and checked out Bonneville Dam and the Fish Hatchery. We saw a lot of large sturgeon, cannot believe how huge they are! We finished the day with an icecream cone from Cascade Locks. Now we are on our way to Melissa's and Aaron's for dinner. I can't wait, I love Melissa's cooking.

Family In Town

Andrew, Erin, and Marie came into town this last Friday! It is so good to have them here. The kids are so excited to see them. Jakob has woken up the last two morning asking where they are and wanting to go and find them. I love that it doesn't matter the distance your the times that we get to see each other, we are still family and that bond is strong. I'm excited to have them here for the next few days!

Steve's 28th Birthday

Today is Steve's 28th birthday!! We went to Cape Lookout last night and stayed at a Yurt! Loved the campsight and all the fun we had! It rained the whole time we were there, but that was expected. We went on a three mile hike with the kids in the rain and saw quite a few gorgeous veiws of the coast. Jakob hiked 1 1/2 miles in! I was impressed that he went so far on his own. Had a blast with the family in the rain. I think Steve really enjoyed his birthday campout!

We are finally getting settled here in Oregon and I wanted to start a blog to keep up with the day to day stuff that some of you may be interested in. I'm terrible at keeping a journal, but I love keeping in touch with friends and family. I hope that you will all enjoy our everyday life.
