I went to see this movie without any expectations and I really enjoyed it!! I thought the actress that played Bella did a great job and I thought the chemistry between Edward and Bella was great. I have to say that I liked the movie better than the book!!
Anyway, I read this review of Twilight from a husband that I thought was hilarious. Enjoy!!

We had a great day together with family. We spent a quiet morning together at home before we headed out to visit with family. We filled up on turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing . I ended up going to Twilight that night with my cousins and really enjoyed it!!! The next day we started a new tradition and stayed in our Christmas pajamas all day! I loved staying at home and watching Christmas movies and getting out the Christmas decorations. Such a fun lazy day to spend together. MUCH better than shopping, in my opinion.

Frog Fur

I love the green here in Oregon. The other day I was on a walk with the kids and Jakob picked up a peice of bright green moss. He called it frog fur. I laughed, thinking that was a great way to describe it. I asked him where he had heard it called frog fur. He told me he made it up himself. Well, we have plenty of frog fur in our corner of the woods.

Christmas Preparations

So, I'm finished shopping for the kids for Christmas, well almost finished. My goal is to be done with Christmas shopping and my HAVE TO gift making by Thanksgiving. I'm so excited to be getting this done and am anticipating the Christmas Season so much more knowing I will be able to truly enjoy the season without the stress of gift buying and making. Since my kids don't read this blog, I thought I might share some things they will be getting this year.

Sweet Moments

Last night I put the kids to bed. Karter goes down to bed early so Jakob and I have been reading on my bed each night. I love reading with my kids each night, I highly recommend it. It is so relaxing to enjoy the time together at the end of the day. BUT, I'm getting sidetracked, this is not the sweet moment I'm sharing. Last night after we finished reading I sent Jakob down the hall to his bedroom. I decided to go and check on Karter. When I peeked in his dark room I saw Jakob kneeling by his bed saying his prayers. How sweet it was to hear my boy talking with his Heavenly Father. You work with your children so much, trying so hard to teach them and help them learn and grow. This moment was precious in so many ways, but the sweetest part was knowing that my son was developing his own relationship with his Father in Heaven.

Back Online

We have been without a phone and internet this week. Luckily I had a few posts waiting to publish so my blog was being updated. We are back on track now and I am trying to get back up to date in the cyberworld. Didn't realize how much I rely on the internet for researching, shopping, emailing, etc. I have a couple things to order off-line, a few things to download, a few people to email, some more things I want to blog about, and some phone numbers to look up. Wow, have you ever avoided checking your email because you know there will be a million emails to go through?? Yes, that is where I am at. Maybe I'll check them later.

We just had Stake Conference and it was so inpiring. So many great things were shared. Our General Young Men's President was one of the speakers. I loved his talk and he said a couple of things that really struck me. He said that WE CAN DO HARD THINGS. This concept is not new, but I think that it is important during our day. At times I think many of us, myself included, look for the easy road and are frustrated when things are difficult. We can and should be striving to do hard things. Of course this applies to building the kingdom of God but it can also apply to so many other things in our lives. I have been saying this to myself a lot this last week as I have been trying to exercise more and eat right. He also said that VITAL ARE THE LEISURE HOURS, FOR IN THEM YOU WIN OR LOSE ETERNITY. I want to post both of these thoughts in my home to focus on. What am I doing with my free time? So much to think about.
