My Main Bookcase

Here is our main bookcase in our dining area and hallway.  When we first bought this home I wasn't sure what to do with the space but finally came up with a plan.  Four years later, I'm still loving the result and have fun rearranging every so often.
Just ignore the missing knob on the yellow table above.  It disappeared and it hasn't turned up yet.

My trips to the thrift store paid off with the purchase of these globes.  I love them all up on the shelves together with my few copies of the classics I have been collecting this last year.

Here are some of my favorite books, in no particular order.  Just ones that I saw today as I snapped these photos and ones that come to mind.

Little Woman by Louisa May Alcott (I have three copies.)

Enders Game by Orson Scott Card (My son actually grabbed this off the shelf last night, so it is not in the photos.)

Peace Like a River by Leif Enger

The Chosen by Chaim Potok

Love Comes Sofely by Janette Oke

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo

Jesus the Christ by James Talmage

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer (I've gifted this book a few times.)

The Rhythm of Family by Amanda and Stephen Soule (Love all her books and her blog!)

The Work and the Glory by Gerald Lund

Some Children's Books In Our Collection

Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh by Robert O'Brien

The Giver by Lois Lowry

Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown

Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss

Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Bill Martin Jr.

Little House Series by Laura Ingalls Wilder

Dodsworth Book by Tim Egan

Here are my Spanish scriptures from my mission.  I love seeing these on the bookshelf.

I have loved sharing posts about the books that we read.  I'm getting ready to make my 2014 booklist for this upcoming year.  You can find my previous booklist here: 2013, 2011, 2010.

Linking up with Modern Mrs. Darcy.  Lots of fun bookcases to look at!
