I just wanted to give a quick update on what has been going on in these parts. We are in the mist of working on our new home and under a deadline to get a lot of home projects completed. We have been waiting for a long while to make this home ours and are so very excited it is finally moving forward, but it has been a bit overwhelming all that needs to be done in such a short period of time.
We have been clearing out all the old and bringing in the new. After a week and a half of ripping out carpet and replacing and repairing two major areas of dry rot and water damaged walls and doors, we cleaned the floors, walls, and baseboards and new carpet went in yesterday (gorgeous!) and pretty paint is going on the walls today.
The kids and I have been moving forward with school projects, trips out to the new house, chores, meals, family time, choir, piano, trumpet, and basketball practice, homework, church activities, play dates, and just the stuff of everyday life. It is a juggling act in the best sort of way. With the added element of driving longer distances to get where we need to go, our days are overflowing. We are very excited to move closer so our daily commutes will be a bit more manageable.
I have so much to share here on the blog, lots of Valentine things were in the works before these last couple busy weeks swept us away, so I think I will still share those posts in the next few days. More to come on the house as well, can't wait to share more details of it here with you.
