Around Here

 

around here  we are excited to finally feel the weather cool, which is such an odd thing to say here in the Pacific Northwest, but we have had such a warm year that I'm actually completely looking forward to the cool.  I'm wearing boots and layering up and loving every minute of it!

around here we are getting back into the swing of things with school schedules, sports, homework, and church activities.  Summer is officially over and schedules are back in full force.  

around here I was able to take a girls' weekend away.  My mom flew in from Utah and we met up with my aunt and cousins at a beach house in Aberdeen.  We visited the County Chick Craft Fair, enjoyed lots of late night chats, crafted, and ate some yummy meals.  Such a fun time to get away with family and such a lovely visit from my mom.  

around here I'm crafting, scheduling, planning, and creating, fall just does that to me.  This is when the holiday season is right around the corner and I enjoying the preparing process.  My gifts this year will be knitted, which will be a nice break from cross stitching, though I don't really need a break from cross stitching.  

around here we are still waiting to hear back on our home.  Buying a home when it is on short sale and the bank is involved is a long, arduous process.  We have been so busy the last couple of months that waiting up until this point hasn't been difficult, but now we are starting to feel a bit impatient.  We should be hearing from the bank any day now.  

around here I'm adding little touches of autumn all around the house.  Its funny, we are in this rental and I'm not planning to do much, but I just can't help myself.  Puttying holes when we move is no biggie and I absolutely love being surrounded by holiday favorites.

around here Steve and I are off on a new business adventure.  He will of course keep his current business, our bread and butter, but this will be something we will do together on the side.  I have been doing the books again for his current business for the last few months and now we will be starting off on a new adventure.  

around here we are settling in to this fall schedule, loving this season, and hunkering down for the fall and winter months ahead.
