The story of what happened to the world after a plague killed most of the world's population. I wasn't a huge fan. It was an interesting concept and a compelling read but the plots twists and turns left me wanting more.
This book was a great read! The story of a man who traveled back in time to stop the assassination of JFK. Now I have read two of Stephen King's non horror books (having read Shawshank Redemption this last month) and have enjoyed both, though in both there was language throughout and a couple graphic, violent scenes.
This was the book we studied for one of our classes at church this year. I loved this book! President Benson's life was so very inspirational. He grew up as an Idaho farmer and became a well known throughout the world as the leader of the LDS Church and in the US Goverment. His stories and teachings of faith and dedication to the gospel of Jesus Christ are inspirational. It is free on kindle!
A story of a young girl in Denmark during World War II and her courage and bravery in helping her Jewish best friend. We listened to this one in the car with the kids on the way to and from school. I forgot how good this really was, my kids were completely absorbed. Highly recommend if you haven't read it!
I so enjoyed this book! Lots of photos to drool over and so many little tips on how to decorate a functional, happy home. There were so many different aha moments, such clever ideas throughout. Very inspirational.
I really would like to read some classics before the end of the year. I set a lofty goal to read a bunch of classics this year and I have hardly read any! I'm in the middle of Don Quixote and I have started Pride and Prejudice, The Pilgrim's Progress, The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, and Possession and many of those have been on my list for quite awhile! I'm making a goal to read two classics a month for the rest of this year. I'm hoping that will give me a jump start for continuing through my list this next year. My 2015 list has way to many books to read in one year (at least for me right now) so I'll be working on finishing this list in 2016. I knew when I was making the list that it may take me two years to get through all those books, but I just couldn't help myself.
I'm also planning to work my way through the rest of our read alouds before the end of the year. Reading to my kids is one of my favorite things to do and I want to hunker down this fall and winter and read, read, read with them. Next on our list is Winter of Fire. Wish me luck!
I'm also going to fit in time to read The Lake House, Kate Morton's newest book. Pre-ordered at the beginning of the year. I little birthday present to myself!

DeleteI tried to read 11/22/63 but found it way too suspenseful!!! My nerves were on edge and I had to set it aside. :)
