It took me forever to read through this classic novel. It is long people and the story is an interesting one, definitely one I didn't connect with. I didn't know the story before I started, the story of a Gentleman in Spain who goes a bit nutty and decides he is a knight. He convinces one of his servants to become his squire and travel the country with him. He has many ridiculous adventures. A look into Spain at this period of time. I"m feel happy that I do now know what this classic is all about.
Loved this reread of Pride and Prejudice. If you haven't read it, it is so worth the read.
This was a fun continuation of the Lunar Chronicles. The romance is very young adult (perfect for young teenage girls, and a bit annoying at times for me), but the story is fun and it is so interesting to see how the author weaves in the fairytale with this futuristic world.
I adored this story. Haunting, compelling, and so very satisfying. In the style of Kate Morton, she weaves the story of past and present beautifully. The theme of motherhood is woven throughout, that connection between mother and child is hauntingly moving. One of my favorites of her, okay, I have a lot of favorites.
This was a fun story, a mystery that my kids certainly loved. My 12 year old went on to read the series and enjoyed those. The story of 4 super special orphaned children that join with Mr. Benedict to save the world.
This was the speech that J. K. Rowling shared at Harvard. A short and interesting read, especially as I'm rereading Harry Potter with my 12 year old.
