The classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge. Loved the chance to read this and we enjoyed sharing this together over the Christmas break. Dickens was a bit challenging for me to read aloud, the sentences were long and the descriptions can go on for awhile, but once I got over that we went through it pretty quickly. The ending in the story was beautifully written and so fulfilling to read.
I really enjoyed it. I don't even remembering requesting it from the library, so when it showed up I was excited to open it and start reading. The book was such a compelling read and such an interesting premise. I hadn't heard anything about the book and that is my absolute favorite way to read these types of books. A mystery that begins with a girl who rides the train and watches the people outside. Throughout the story you find out about the mysterious murder of a woman that happens in the present while you are solving the mystery by finding out what happened in the past.
I enjoyed this book, a shorter book in the Lunar series. This is the story of Levana, the Lunar Queen, and it shares her history and her story. Such an enriching tale. I should be receiving the last book Winter in the Lunar series here soon and I'm excited to finally finish this series.
This was a short read aloud that we enjoyed listening to together. We listened to it in the car and it was such a fun read. Such a great story of a doctor who can communicate with animals. My animal loving daughter really enjoyed it!
Oh everyone, reading this with my 12 year old son was so fun. He gets it, like he really gets it. During the last few chapters (spoiler if you haven't read it, so don't read on) he just kept saying "Dumbledore" in this sad, kind of silly dramatic voice. I was just like, I know bud, I know. We have already started book 7 and I can't wait to finish the series with him.
This was a book about letting go of stress, your cell phone, and your busy schedule and focusing on your children and your family. It had lots of great reminders to live a more meaningful life, a more connected life. Definitely taking some of these tips into the new year with me.

Yay! So happy to have found another Harry Potter and Lunar Chronicles fan. We're introducing my 5.5 y/o to Harry Potter and it's so fun! Even though he doesn't really get it as much as I want him to. He'll get there. I also really enjoyed The Girl on the Train.
