The Fairy Tale Project || Rumpelstiltskin

Wonderful oil painting illustrations throughout.

Rumpelstiltskin by Paul Galdone
Beautiful illustrations.  The story is rewritten by Paul Galdone.

Rumpelstiltskin by Christopher Noel
This version is based on the Grimm fairy tale version and is readapted by Christopher Noel.  The illustrations are fun. Rumpelstiltskin looks a bit like a court jester.

Rumpelstiltskin pictures by Jacqueline Ayer
This one is based on the Brothers Grimm version of the tale and the illustrations are a bit medievel.

Rumpelstiltskin's Daughter by Diane Stanley
This is a fun fractured fairy tale of Rumpelstiltskin where the King is anything but kind (was he ever?)  and Rumpelstiltskin becomes the hero of the story.  Loved it.

Rumpelstiltskin by John Cech
John Cech retells this lovely tale and it has beautiful illustrations throughout.

Rumpelstiltskin illustrated by Bernadette Watts
Such lovely little drawings.  Rumpelstiltskin looks like a little elf.
The Girl Who Spun Gold by Virginia Hamilton
A West Indies version of this classic tale with lovely words and pictures.

Rumpelstiltskin by Alison Sage
Lovely detailed pictures.

Rumpelstiltskin by Martin Powell
A graphic novel.

Rumpelstiltskin by Deanna McFaden
I enjoyed this version of the tale.  McFaden has written quite a few other fairy tales that I'm excited to check out.

Rumpelstiltskin by Xavier Carrasco
A bilingual retelling of Rumpelstiltskin.

The illustrations are full of black and white images with touches of gold.  Beautifully done.
